Objective - Help advanced & intermediate traders identify The Hunt Volatility Funnel (HVF) and trade it successfully.
When I highlight my primary method for trading, which is High Probability, Fast Moving, Break Outs, some traders are tempted to ask:
Is it not just trading a Triangle or flag trading?
There is a rather full list of aspects that I have produced in terms of why the methodology is so..so..much more than that.
Today I’d sooner just answer it with a 1000 words.. by that I mean a Picture. But just before this chart please take the time to appreciate these points below.
No Technical Analysis study/methodology has ever provided the same level of insight and actual ‘tradability’ that my own method has done, apologises if that sounds arrogant.
But my belief is that my failings that saw me seek out and refine the HVF Trading system, are common in most of us and that the principles should be universally valuable.
By the way – ‘Tradability’ is not what I originally thought, namely a strong feel for the direction of market.
It needs to be so much more for true psychological comfort ‘in Trade’, it needs:
- Directional indication (up, down or congested)
- A highest probability entry level on the take out of a point of resistance with momentum at its back from the offset
- A clear level where technically we accept the trade has failed
- A hard defined Target level that will allow you to close whilst strength in the market in your chosen direction still exists
- Some understanding where my trade may falter in its journey to target, for peace of mind and understanding of the ‘ebb and flow’ of price progress
- Multiples in the Risk : Reward ratio in comparison to so many systems 1 : 1 trades and some < 1
- A good success rate particularly relative to its R:R
- A system that introduces Key levels of Significance not specifically Support or Resistance in traditional Technical Analysis, that leaves me with an advantage whenever I reassess that market again.
Having attended multiples of courses and websites.. I have not come close to a methodology that provides all of the above listed items? Have you?
